Ford E-Series Swivel Seat Base

(22 reviews) Write a Review

The Ford Swivel Seat Base allows you to rotate your seat 180 degrees to face the rear of the van.*

The Ford Swivel Seat Base does not work with a power drivers seat.

The Driver's side Ford Swivel Seat Base does not work with a 4x4 van due to the location of the 4x4 shift levers.  The passenger seat still works fine.

The swivel seats work for E-Series vans model year 1997-2014. E-Series cutaways 1997-present. You may have to move sensors wires under the seat for install. Professional installation recommend but not required.

*Seat needs to be facing forward while van is in motion.

    E450 swivel seat bases

Posted by Oscar Ramsey on 15th Apr 2018

Good quality product. Fits well, easy install.
Might think about shipping containment. Maybe bolt seat base to plywood that fits dimensions of box to restrict shifting in travel. Ours was protruding through box but was not damaged.
Might be a little expensive but consider lawyers and insurance company probably take a third.

    Excellent upgrade!

Simple enough to install and really opens up a lot of room when the seat is turned around. It is a tight fit between the door jamb and the seat as you pivot and rubs a tad but it works. Solid base when going down the road.

    Perfect fit!

We installed this seat on the passenger side of a F350 cab that had been manufactured as a Fraserway Adventurer 24' motorhome. We had to build up the base slightly to accommodate the change in floor levels, but it was a quick, easy install. Thank you, Sportsmobile!

    Great product

Shipped quickly, easy to install with a few tools, simple to maneuver - a nice enhancement opening up space inside our van.

    Works great and easy install

I've been looking for a product like this for some time. I installed it in about 20 minutes and it works really well. The arm rest on my passenger seat does interfere with the door somewhat, but does not keep the chair from turning completely around. Most of the time just for convenience, I will probably just use the seat turned at about 150 degrees rather than 180, works better that way in our motorhome. Great product, seat is still very sturdy.

    Damaged in shipping

Posted by Michael Azevedo on 6th Apr 2017

Product arrived damaged. You would figure for spending $300 on a single metal mount, and having paid ~$25 for shipping, Sportsmobile would care enough to put, you know a wrap or two of bubble around the mount inside the box. I guess not. Instead it shipped in just a flimsy cardboard box with not a single thing put inside to protect the product. Surprised it was damaged?

Mount does what it's supposed to. Overpriced in my opinion.

    expensive, but worth it!

After a false start with a mechanic who tried to install it upside down, I took it to another and he installed the swivel, no problem. He did move the air bag sensor wire from under the mat so it would not be pinched, and so I could turn the seat without having to disconnect it.
I am excited to have it in my van and look forward to enjoying the extra room it affords me, as well as the comfort of having a recliner on my travels.
Thank you so much for your patience, all the time you spent with me on the phone and emails, and all around excellent customer service!

Expecting plates that were truly made for an E350. However there are airbag brains that sit under each seat. The box that goes over the brain on the drivers was not deep enough (1.5" spacing needed) and passenger did not have a box at all so that needed 2". Also needs a big enough hole near center of the pedestal so that the line (and coupling) feeding into the brain from the floor can move around with ease. I must undo the coupling to swivel the passenger base. Not moving when that occurs so not that big of a deal. I have a 2008 E350.

    worst packaging ever

Posted by Unknown on 9th Jan 2017

Product came in a busted open box with zero packaging and no installation instructions.
